Bike Tips & Emergency Numbers

Tips & Information for a safe Cycling and Mountain Biking Experience

Follow a few tips and nothing stands in the way of your mountain biking pleasure in the mountains. Mountain bike routes lead into a terrain where special demands are made on the mountain biker's personal responsibility. It is therefore important to observe certain rules of conduct in order to avoid confrontations and to ensure your own safety.

This includes above all:

  • Driving responsibly at a controlled speed and with half visibility.
  • Always reckon with obstacles, especially on curves! (stones, branches, damage to paths, stored wood, grazing livestock, vehicles, roadblocks, etc.)
  • Walkers and pedestrians have priority. Conscientious overtaking takes place at walking pace.
  • Agricultural and forestry management shall have priority on the approved paths. Pasture gates are to be closed again, temporary roadblocks are to be observed.
  • Do not leave the prescribed and signposted routes. Natural and wildlife habitats should be protected.
  • A good tour planning takes into account the difficulty of the route and your own ability. This includes helmet, protective equipment and a technically perfect mountain bike.
