Nostalgiefahrt zum Kraftwerksjubiläum
For the 100th anniversary of the electric operation on the Arlberg Railway, the ProBahn Vorarlberg association is organizing a special anniversary train on Saturday, August 16, 2025 – in cooperation with the Lienz Railway Friends and the Klostertal Museum Association. Together with the 1110.505 and the four green-tinted Sliders, the 1020.18 of the Railway Friends Lienz and their four Sliders in Jaffa livery will lead a special train from Dornbirn to Langen am Arlberg. From there, a bus transfer to the Spullerseekraftwerk will take place, and the power plant will open its doors for the participants of the special trip on that day.
For catering, a food truck will be available in front of the power plant. In addition, the exhibition "100 Years of Spullerseekraftwerk" can be visited. The Klostertal Museum is also open and can be reached on foot (about a 20-minute walk) or by the local bus L720. There, guests will be served cake and coffee.
