Tour description
In spring 2018, a new via ferrata was built on the impressive Fallbach Wall with its namesake waterfall, which until then had been known only to ice climbers. This long, moderately difficult via ferrata runs consistently along the right side of the Fallbach and offers stunning panoramic views and a spectacular climbing experience in Dalaas in the Klostertal valley.
The via ferrata does not feature extreme technical cruxes; however, the accumulation of many C and C/D sections and, above all, its length make it a serious challenge even for experienced via ferrata climbers.
Conclusion: This via ferrata is definitely not suitable for beginners, but for enthusiastic and experienced via ferrata climbers with sufficient stamina, it is an absolute must!
Difficulty: C/D, demanding to very difficult
Length: 1,000 m, 650 m elevation gain
Approach: 20 min / Descent: 1 h
