The Seewaldsee
An idyllic Mountain Lake in the Großes Walsertal
A walk to the Seewaldsee in Fontanella is worthwhile in any weather and also in any season. The mountain lake is easily accessible on foot from the bus stop Fontanella/Säge, in about 35 minutes. The gently ascending and descending, low-traffic, asphalt road (access is only permitted for residents) leads to the lake forest. Nestled in lush meadows, lies the idyllic little mountain lake.
Bathing Lake
Since the water supply is low, the lake at this altitude (1,200 m) shows exceptionally pleasant temperatures, which invite you to swim in summer - even on a warm rainy day. The beautiful surroundings as well as two inns at the lake invite you to relax and linger.
Seewaldsee Slow Train
During the summer months there is also a small slow train that runs from the Fontanella/Säge stop to the Seewaldsee.
