Six swings made of solid oak, so-called ‘Hutschn’, are available for swinging enthusiasts in Damüls Faschina. The ‘Land of Swings’ - which originated in the mountain village of Damüls - has been expanded to include two locations in the Großes Walsertal Biosphere Park.

You can swing in Damüls at the foot of the Elsenkopf, at the historic Stofel chapel, on the Ragazer Schrofen and on a hilltop in the Oberdamüls alpine area. You can also swing in Fontanella above the Seewaldsee lake in Fontanella with a view over the Großes Walsertal and at the middle station of the Stafelalpe panoramic cable car in Faschina.

These swings are more than just a place to sit; they are art installations embedded in nature and surrounded by mountains. They are also an invitation to change one's perspective, an opportunity to constantly sharpen one's view of the surroundings by constantly moving forwards and backwards. They are also an opportunity to reflect on acceleration and deceleration.
