Description

Experience the impressive mountain world with its high Alps in the back of the Große Walsertal during this hike. From the Alpe Metzgertobel, the path leads over the Alpe Oberalpschella to the Göppinger Hütte.
Route: Hiking bus from Buchboden to Alpe Metzgertobel - ascent via Alpe Oberalpschellen - turnoff to Mutterwangjoch - Gamsboden - Göppinger Hütte.
With a bit of luck, we may be able to observe chamois. The return path leads back the same way.

Equipment

Ankle-high hiking boots with tread soles, sun protection (cream & headgear) and rain protection, snacks, filled water bottle (not too sweet!), seating pad, first aid kit, and mobile phone. We recommend, if available: camera, hiking poles, field guide for plants/animals, and for evening/night hikes, a flashlight or headlamp.
