2​-​Day Hike to the Frassenhütte ​|​ Bludenz

Tour description

Stage 1
You start your hike at theMuttersbergcable car’s valley stationandfollow the trail toward the mountain station. Alternatively, you can take the cable car up to 1,401 m. From there, a well-marked trail leads through sparse mountain forest to the cozyFrassenhütte atapproximately 1,725 m. Enjoy the first panoramic views of the Rätikon and the Walgau along the way, as well as the tranquility of the alpine landscape.

Stage 2
On the second day, the route leads from theFrassenhütte upa trail to the summit ofthe Hoher Frassen. At the top, a magnificent 360° panoramic view of Vorarlberg, the Silvretta, Rätikon, and the Swiss Alps awaits you—a true highlight for mountain lovers. From the summit, follow the marked trail over theTiefenseesattel. The descent continues along forest and hiking trails tothe Muttersberg cable car. Depending on your energy and time, you can end the tour at the mountain station and take the cable car back, or continue descending to the valley station. There is also a direct descent from the Tiefenseesattel back down to the valley.

Duration
Day 1: approx. 3–4 hours ascent to the Frassenhütte (without the cable car)
Day 2: approx. 3–4 hours descent to the Muttersbergbahn valley station
Shortcuts are possible using the cable car.
