Historic estate with its own chapel (dedicated to Our Lady of Help)

The name of the Sonnenhalb property in Dalaas already hints at its prime location. The exterior appearance of this log-built, shingled house has hardly changed over the past 120 years. Typical of the architectural style in the Klostertal valley are the brick-walled hallway and kitchen area and the wooden superstructure. The large estate was once owned by Stefan Schnetzer, whose farm was one of the most important in the village. Together with his brother Andreas, he managed the Müller Maisäß above the railroad tracks, which was one of the largest cornfields in the Klostertal. Milk was also processed there in the past. The Mariahilf Chapel, which belongs to the house and features a gabled roof and its own bell, is located west of the estate. Like most chapels in the Klostertal, it dates from the 18th century, the same period in which the Mariahilf altarpiece—which still exists today—was created.
