Tour description

From the Freiburger Hütte, follow theStebok-Wägthemed trail downhill toward the Klostertal. Thetrailtakes you past nine stations showcasing the flora, fauna, and geological features of the Klostertal—and with a little luck, you might spot the ibex that gives the trail its name! The trail leads along wide alpine paths and, in sections, forest trails through theSchmiedetobel, past theMusterinalpe, and down toBargand. From there, it winds its way through the Sandtobel, across the Sponasa area to Obermason, and finally back to the Kristbergsaal inDalaas.
As an alternative to walking back, you can take a hiking bus from Alpe Formarin to Lech and then continue by local bus to Dalaas (cash payment on the bus).

Sturdy footwear, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, a snack, a full water bottle, and hiking poles are recommended. Additionally, bring gear for an overnight stay in a mountain hut. A cell phone for emergencies.
