2-Day Tour of Lake Spullersee | Wald am Arlberg
An exciting high-altitude hike in the Lechquellengebirge mountains, featuring a stay at an alpine hut in one of Vorarlberg’s most beautiful spots: LakeSpullersee.
Tour description
On the first day, the route combines an ascent through the wild and romantic Spreubachtobel valley tothecozyRavensburger Hut, followed on the second day by a varied descent to the valley villageof Klösterle am Arlberg.
Stage 1:
The tour begins inthe Wald am Arlbergand leads along theSpreubachtobel, past wild streams and through shady forests. The trail climbs steadily uphill, offering frequent beautiful views of the Klostertals landscape. After about 2–3 hours of hiking, you’ll reachSpullersee—a high-alpine reservoir and popular photo spot. From the lake, the route continues along well-marked trails tothe Ravensburger Hütte, where you can wind down the day in comfort. On the sun terrace, you can enjoy thepanoramic view of Spullerseeand regional hut classics.

Stage 2:
After spending the night at the hut, you’ll start your descent towardSpullersee.The lake invites you to take a short break and stroll along the shore before continuing back down into the valley. The descent follows a variedforest and ravine trailalong the Wäldletobel down toKlösterle am Arlberg. In Klösterle, you can enjoy the end of the tour and take the local bus back to Wald am Arlberg (Landbus L720).

Day 1: Wald am Arlberg – Spreubachtobel – Ravensburger Hütte
Day 2: Ravensburger Hütte – Spullersee – Klösterle
Equipment
Sturdy footwear, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, a snack, a full water bottle, and hiking poles are recommended. Additionally, bring gear for an overnight stay in a mountain hut. A cell phone for emergencies.
