4-Day Hike: Spullersee and Formarinsee (Stage 3) | Klösterle
This variedfour-day hikein the Lechquellengebirge connects Lake Spullersee and Lake Formarinsee with three historic Alpine Club huts. Good physical condition, sure-footedness, and alpine experience are required on all stages, especially on the Johannisweg.
Tour description
This stage is one of the more challenging sections of the tour. From the Göppinger Hütte, follow theJohannisweg, an alpine high-altitude trail with narrow passages and some steep sections. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential here. The trail eventually descends toLake Formarin, on whose shore theFreiburger Hütte (1,918 m)is located.

Day 1: Klösterle – Spullersee – Ravensburger Hütte
Day 2: Ravensburger Hütte – Zug – Göppinger Hütte
Day 3: Göppinger Hütte – Freiburger Hütte (via the Johannisweg)
Day 4: Freiburger Hütte – Dalaas
Equipment
Sturdy footwear, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, a snack, a full water bottle, and hiking poles are recommended. Additionally, bring gear for an overnight stay in a mountain hut. A cell phone for emergencies.
