The Long Museum Night at Paarhof Buacher

The Paarhof Buacher Local History Museum in Bürserberg opens on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 6.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m. as part of the ORF Long Night of Museums. Under the motto “From Hearth and Homeland”, visitors can expect an evening that combines regional history, traditional culinary delights, and special folk music.

Riebel – a taste of home
A culinary highlight of the evening is a dish that many will recognize from earlier times: Riebel. It will be freshly prepared and can be sampled by the visitors.
This way, history in the Paarhof is not only told and shown, but can also be experienced directly.

Music in the old parlor starting at 8:30 p.m.
The musical arrangement will be provided by three musicians who blend traditional alpine soundscapes with great joy in playing:
Matthias Lincke, violin
Elias Menzi, Appenzeller dulcimer
Matthias Härtel, double bass, singing & yodeling
With violin, Appenzeller dulcimer, double bass, singing, and yodeling, they bring special sounds into the historical parlor of the Paarhof.

The Paarhof Buacher provides the perfect setting for “From Hearth and Homeland.” The more than 300-year-old Walser house offers insight into the former life and work of the people in the Brandnertal.

The historical rooms and the rustic furnishing make regional history tangible and create an atmospheric backdrop for an evening of music, enjoyment, and lived tradition.

With “From Hearth and Homeland”, Tal SCHAFFT Kultur invites you to experience the local history museum in a different way – through listening, discovering, tasting, and sitting together.
