"Die Alemannische Passion"
The suffering of Jesus as a present event
The "Alemannic Passion" consciously breaks with the urban mainstream: Originating in the southern Baden province, it combines the classic Passion story with unusual musical forms – from rock to waltz to rap and blues. The text deliberately refrains from using Standard German and presents the Passion events as an immediate, emotional experience that allows a deep glimpse into the soul of those involved. Composed by Peter Modler and Lukas Grimm, the work is performed by the choir community Eintracht Amoltern/Church Choir Bahlingen under the direction of Rita Jerke.
