We cook like in grandmother's time: Nothing comes out of a can! That means sauces simmer on the cooker for up to eight hours and are then refined by the chef. Clear soups are prepared with fresh ingredients - and not with water and powder. We only use regional ingredients that are of the highest quality.
In our smoke-free dining rooms you have a panoramic view of our mountain world. Our recipes fill a menu that is called "good home cooking": Austrian delicacies, cleverly created and charmingly served. Dishes that need to be learned to prepare and that you have to look for in restaurants these days. Our wine cellar is stocked with wines from top local vintners (e.g. Netzel Winery, Rückert Winery, Jordan Winery, Pittnauer Winery, Johann Heinrich Winery, Werner Achs Winery).
After a hearty dinner, we recommend the clear fruit brandies of local distiller Max Summer, who has been awarded numerous gold and silver medals for his brandies. By the way: Everyone is welcome in the restaurant, not only house guests!
