Introduction to the culture and language of Graubünden Romansh

Graubünden Romansh or Rhaeto-Romanic is the third official language of the canton of Graubünden alongside German and Italian and the fourth national language of Switzerland. Of the five idioms, Surselvisch or Sursilvan is the most widely spoken. This is the focus of the introductory course, which covers the history and culture of the language as well as some basic phrases. In doing so, we tie in with the tradition of Romansh, which was spoken in southern Vorarlberg centuries ago and still resonates in many village and family names.

The course builds on the course from the winter semester 2023/24.
Payment of the course fee on site: € 35,- (€ 15,- for members of the Klostertal Museum Association)
