Ein ganzer Tag auf der Alpe: Alpexkursion Ischkarnei

In order for alpine pastures to unfold their botanical diversity, a site-adapted and careful management is necessary. The guiding principle of the Biosphere Park "Conservation through Nature Use" finds practical implementation especially in the alpine areas located in the care zone.

On-site, important fodder, medicinal, and indicator plants of the alpine pastures are presented. Their fodder values, ingredients, and their effects on animal health and product quality are explained. The excursion concludes with a tasting of alpine products from the Ischkarnei pasture (tasting of alpine products is optional). This vividly demonstrates how closely the taste and aroma of these products are linked to the diversity of alpine herbs.
