On Saturday, explore this special natural jewel in the municipality of Sonntag-Buchboden.
Have you ever been on a biotope excursion? Together with experienced experts, you embark on a special kind of hike and discover the unique natural habitats right nearby. There, you can get to know the fascinating world of animals and plants with many colorful, but also inconspicuous and hidden species.
Under the expert guidance of Günter Bischof, you have the opportunity to explore this special natural gem in the municipality of Sonntag-Buchboden on Saturday, June 6, 2026: The mountain meadows are part of the valuable heritage of our ancestors. Cultivated for centuries, this cultural landscape is more than just a pleasant sight. The great diversity of butterflies, grasshoppers, and wild bees testify to an enormous variety of species that is inseparably linked to the botanical diversity of the nutrient-poor meadows.
The biotope excursions are offered in collaboration with dedicated municipalities in Vorarlberg. You can find information about more biotope excursions in the event calendar at www.umweltv.at/veranstaltungen.
