weekly
pending  Tu, 16.06.2026
Tuesday 09:00 AM
Duration: 3 hours
In 1954, the largest avalanche disaster in the valley occurred.
In 1954, the largest avalanche disaster in the valley occurred. Blons was greatly affected by the avalanches. In recent years, a lot has changed in the village. Alongside many new houses with amazing architecture – starting with the community center and the avalanche documentation center located within it – it is explained how the village has developed since the disaster in 1954. You hike along the Leusorgweg to
Oberblons. An old Walser house is visited. Continuing over Eschtobel, you reach the photovoltaic facility and then return via Valentschina. The information boards along the way remind you of the avalanche disaster of that time.
