The scent of herbs is in the air in Biosphere Reserve Großes Walsertal. On the colorful, herb-rich mountain meadows, in the tea cups filled with mountain tea, dishes refined with herbs or to take home in the form of herbal products and books.

But not only that: trained herbal educators dedicate themselves entirely to the subject of herbs and bring you closer to the world of mountain herbs during courses and herbal hikes. These women want to make the diversity of natural and cultivated plants visible, show old and new ways of use and thus the importance that plants can have for people. In doing so, they are following a good tradition, because for generations it has been women in particular who have used herbs and actively passed on their knowledge.
