Cable Cars Sonntag-Stein in the Biosphere Reserve

The municipality of Sonntag is located in the heart of the Biosphere Reserve Großes Walsertal. Around the village church in Sonntag the houses of this large valley community are widely scattered. Directly opposite the biosphärenpark.haus the small cable car takes you to the hiking area Sonntag-Stein in just a few minutes.

Families hear the sound of nature on the Theme Hiking Path, the Klangraum.Stein, before they fortify themselves for new adventures at the barbecue area with a home-baked Pizza Calzone from the clay oven. A few steps away from the barbecue area, a new playground with water features has been built and a special cave was created in an old lime kiln.

Sporty hikers climb the Wandfluh or the Breithorn and enjoy the breathtaking view of Großes Walsertal. Climbers will find their challenge on the Wandfluh climbing wall.

And the culmination of each tour in the hiking area Sonntag-Stein is a visit to one of the opened huts.
