Schesaplana, 2.965 m | Brand

The mountain hike leads from the Lünersee cable car valley station via the "Böse Tritt" up to the mountain station of the Lünersee cable car. The "Böse Tritt" is a bit of a challenge and partly secured with ropes - but no problem for sure-footed hikers. Alternatively, you can shorten this section with the Lünersee cable car. From the mountain station, follow the Lünersee circular trail on the right-hand side towards Totalp Hütte. At the sign (no. 91.100) on the Lünersee circular trail, turn right uphill and always along the great rock massif in the direction of the Totalp Hut. From here, the mountain trail continues in alpine terrain up to the summit of the Schesaplana, the highest peak in the Rätikon. The tour is rewarded with great views and a cosy stop at the Totalp hut before returning along the same path.

Author's recommendation

A short detour of about 25 minutes on foot from the Totalp hut to the Gamsluggen is recommended, as Lake Lünersee shows its most beautiful side here, namely in the shape of a heart. Return to the Totalp hut via the same path.

Equipment

Sturdy shoes, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, filled water bottle and snack as well as hiking poles are recommended. Mobile phone in case of emergency.
