Bludenz in winter: No two ski days are the same. Ten ski areas with more than 200 ski lifts and around 1,000 kilometers of piste all within a few minutes by car.
Directly opposite the town is the Brandnertal ski area with the slopes at Loischkopf, Niggenkopf and in the Palüdgebiet. For beginners and advanced skiers alike, but especially great for families, nothing more is desired. In the Klostertal, at the foot of the Arlberg, lies the Sonnenkopf ski area with challenging deep-snow and great carving slopes.
The ski resorts in the Grosses Walsertal, Faschina, Sonntag-Stein, Raggal and the adjacent Damüls ski area offer every skier the perfect descent. Families can also find their way around the well-arranged areas.
The top ski areas of Golm / Tschagguns, Silvretta Montafon / Schruns and St. Gallenkirch and the Gargellen in Montafon are easily within reach and Stuben am Arlberg is the starting point for the world-famous Arlberg ski region.
The Vorarlberg state government has ordered the early end of the winter season. All ski areas in Vorarlberg were officially closed on March 15th. Accommodation facilities will close on Monday, March 16, 2020 after the last guest has left safely. Based on the Epedemic Act, all accommodations will remain closed until April 13, 2020.
