The Bürser Gorge has been one of the most impressive natural and recreational areas in Vorarlberg for more than 100 years. As early as the beginning of the 20th century, one of the first nature trails was created here, introducing visitors to the geological special features of this extraordinary natural area. Today, the gorge faces new challenges and at the same time has the opportunity to rediscover its history and nature.

Together with Christoph Matt, we embark on a special evening hike through the Bürser Gorge. As a native of Bürs, communication designer, founder of Studio Matt | Eco-Social Design, and hiking guide, he connects his regional roots with many years of experience in the design of nature, culture, and mediation spaces.
During the hike, participants will learn interesting facts about the formation and history of the gorge, the historical educational trail, and the development of this unique natural monument. Christoph Matt will also provide insights into the vision of the project Nature Monument Area Bürser Gorge. This project connects landscape, history, and design with the people who use, experience, and appreciate the place.
The themed hike kicks off the participation project Nature Monument Area Bürser Gorge. It invites all interested parties to get to know the gorge from new perspectives and to think about its future development.
