Rodel​-​Austria Rollenrodel Cup mit Österreichischer Meisterschaft

On July 25 and 26, 2026, the Rodel-Austria Rolling Luge Cup will take place in Bludenz. The 3rd and 4th competitions of the six-race cup series will be held on Hinterplärsch road. A special highlight: this year, the Austrian Championship will also be contested in a race-in-race format during the race weekend. 

The Vorarlberg Luge Association is once again allowed to host a strong rolling luge weekend in Bludenz. In 2023, the Alpine city was the scene of exciting cup races with international participation. This year, athletes, coaching teams, and spectators can look forward to fast lines, close decisions, and plenty of summer sports action.

The race will be held on the track “Straße Hinterplärsch Bludenz”. The track is approximately 450 to 500 meters long, has a height difference of 45 meters, and has an average gradient of 9.5 percent. This provides excellent conditions for technical and spectator-friendly races. 

The race weekend begins on Friday, July 24, with free training and the draw for starting numbers in the finish house.
On Saturday, July 25, the doubles racers will take to the track first, followed by training and competition runs in the singles category.
On Sunday, July 26, further competition runs will continue. The award ceremonies will take place approximately half an hour after the end of each race at the finish house. 

Additional excitement is brought by the Austrian Championship, which will be held in race-in-race format alongside the cup competitions on July 25. This means that athletes will not only compete for important points in the Rodel-Austria Rolling Luge Cup but also for national championship titles at the same time.

Rolling luge has long been more than just summer training for winter. The sport combines technique, courage, concentration, and athleticism, providing particularly the athletes with an important opportunity to gain competitive experience. This mix of speed, precision, and enthusiasm is what makes it exciting.
