Catholic church with beautiful high altar
The tower with the pointed helmet towers above the landscape of the village centre of Nüziders. That this steeple and the design of the western entrance façade of the church did not take place until the 19th century in the classicist style is quite evident, but the additional construction work at that time was carried out in a harmonious structure to the existing substance.
The Gothic character of the parish church of Nüziders is easily visible from the outside, because the narrow ogival windows of the presbytery, partly with ornamental framing, and the painted frieze under the roof as well as the plastering of the choir and nave speak for a solid new building of the 15th century. The east side window was walled up in the Baroque period, but a round light opening for the Holy Spirit disc was preserved. Inside the nave one can sense the subsequent alteration of the Gothic windows, and in the Baroque period the Gothic vault in the choir was removed.
