Concert: Behind the Back of Time ​-​ Marcus Nigsch ​-​ Trio Tractatus

Since 2018, the string trio, consisting of Monica Tarcsay, Karoline Kurzemann-Pilz, and Fabian Jäger, has been engaged in a close and synergistic collaboration with the stylistically versatile, award-winning Austrian composer Marcus Nigsch. With the works "Modus Mathematicus for String Trio," they create a stir at the annual Philosophicum in Lech as well as at the ORF state studio (Pitch Culture Prize 2022). ʺAmong the bright moments of the colloquium was the musical premiere of three pieces from the work cycle Modus Mathematicus by composer Marcus Nigsch, gracefully presented by the Tractatus Trio. Nigsch has had an unusual career. As pop star Marque, he stormed the charts in his younger years. Now, he has shifted gears and composes contemporary classical music, characterized by an immediacy and virtuosity that captivates. ʺ (T. Thiel FAZ Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, 27.9.22). The “Quartet” further aims for interdisciplinary concert formats. Currently, they are merging their new music with poetry from Generation Z. The featuring program of Trio Tractatus with poet Lia Hartl (Vorarlberg state champion) reflects the emotions, soul stirrings, and contemplative thoughts of the 21st century in music and words.

Her first text fragments originated in her diary before she first dared to perform on stage three years ago at the U20 Micdrop Slam. At the music gymnasium in Feldkirch, she can express her love for music, and in her free time, she often performs on slam stages. In 2023, she won the traveling trophy of the Vorarlberg state championships at Saumarkt in Feldkirch.
