Blechreiz Brassquintett

Blechreiz consists of five creative and music-loving professional musicians/music teachers who approach the boundaries of chamber music with a great deal of humor and sensitivity. Their concerts are influenced by the idea that music of any kind can be moving and stirring, and that it is not always the genre but rather the emotion that brings music to life. From classical brass quintet literature to crossover arrangements, original compositions on current topics, rock and pop songs with vocals, and even pop hits, they incorporate a wide variety of styles into their stage shows. Some pieces encourage reflection, while others offer the opportunity to immerse oneself completely in the music. Authentic moderation and various show interludes ensure enjoyable entertainment with humor and sophistication.

Their program is almost 100% their own organic production—composed, arranged, organized, and performed by themselves. The members come from the Austrian Alpine region and strive to treat music with care and appreciation.

Not only are the styles mixed, but so are the instruments: in addition to brass instruments, depending on the program, there are also piano, guitar, accordion, cajon, and various percussion instruments – all played, of course, by these five musicians. And last but not least, there is a very special ingredient that makes this formation so unique: an unconditional love of music and a willingness to share this love with the audience.
