UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Großes Walsertal
Living and experiencing in harmony with nature
Breathe in - breathe out - breathe deeply. The Große Walsertal is one thing above all: relaxing. Start the day with a mountain breakfast and enjoy the view of the steep to very steep slopes in some places and the surrounding peaks (you won't find any industrial chimneys here, by the way) as well as the grazing brown cattle, goats and sheep. Don't worry: our mountain cheese, Walserstolz, is a must on every breakfast table.
During the day, depending on the season, you can explore the green, colorful or white natural landscape, climb mountains and unwind at our so-called wohl.plätze. In the evening, let the tranquillity of the valley and your inner serenity take effect.
