Flower Hiking Trail | Faschina

Between the middle station (1,780 m) and the top station (1,865 m) of the Stafelalpbahn cable car, a unique alpine flora awaits nature lovers. As an example from more than 150 plant species, the "Türkenbund", for example, can be mentioned here.

Up here, at this wonderful spot with panoramic views, the Faschina cable cars have built the popular flower hiking nature trail, where you will find illustrations of the various plants and geological conditions on the high-altitude trail and descriptions on information boards.

The information boards are constantly put up and replaced according to the current flowering season. This ensures that you can admire the flowers directly in nature right next to the description. The photos of the flower descriptions were taken without exception of flowers that can be found along the course of the nature trail.

There are regular expert guided tours from May/June to August/September with botanist Günther Bischof from Damüls, the project manager of the nature trail, a profound expert on the local alpine flora. On request, Günther Bischof will also be happy to guide you personally or as a group through the flower hiking nature trail.
