Climbing Garden 'Hängender Stein'

Climbing Garden 'Hängender Stein'

The "Hängender Stein" climbing garden in Nüziders is one of the largest and oldest climbing gardens in Vorarlberg. With a wall of main dolomite up to 100 meters high and more than 260 climbing routes in all degrees of difficulty, this climbing garden really gets everyone's money's worth. The focus at Hängender Stein is between grades 6+ and 7+, but there are also numerous routes for beginners and pleasure climbers as well as for real pros. The airy multi-pitches on the so-called "Köpfle", which can be climbed in routes of varying difficulty, offer a highlight in the climbing garden.

Parking: a parking lot is located directly at the climbing garden
Equipment: own climbing equipment (climbing harness, climbing helmet, belay device, webbing sling, climbing shoes), climbing rope, express slings

A climbing guidebook (e.g. Sportkletterfürer Vorarlberg, Panico Alpinverlag) or an app (e.g. Vertical-Life) are recommended for the description of the routes and difficulty levels, as the difficulties of the climbing routes are hardly labeled on site.

The climbing garden is to be visited only with appropriate climbing experience and equipment!
