Art Gallery Bregenz

The Kunsthaus Bregenz (KUB) is an internationally active exhibition house for contemporary art. It was planned by the Swiss architect Peter Zumthor on behalf of the State of Vorarlberg and built between 1990 and 1997. Today, the KUB is one of the world's leading houses due to its ambitious exhibition program. In 1998, architect Peter Zumthor won the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture with the Kunsthaus Bregenz. In 2009 he was awarded the Pritzker Prize, the most important award for architects. Throughout the year, the Kunsthaus Bregenz presents temporary exhibitions that are created especially for the house and are only possible in this form in Bregenz.
