Biotope excursion - To the lady's slipper blossom in the Gadental
The Gadental valley is unique due to its unspoilt nature and its near-natural and rare forest stands and was therefore designated a nature reserve in 1987 and later a Natura 2000 area as well as a core biosphere park zone. The species-rich spiral forests in particular have a large number of different orchids. Even the otherwise rare Lady's Slipper can often be found there.
