BERGaktiv snowshoe hike in the area Sonntag-Stein
The Sonntag cable car and the Oberpartnom double chairlift take us to the starting point at 1750 metres. We enjoy a leisurely snowshoe hike across snow-covered alpine areas with views as far as the Swiss mountains. We can round off the winter afternoon in the Seilbahnstüble.
Date: 06/01 and 20/01/2024 | 03/02, 17/02, 24/02/2024 | 16/03 and 30/03/2024
Weekday: Saturday
Meeting point: 10:00 at the valley station of the cable cars Sunday, return approx. 4:00 pm to the mountain station, which route is chosen will be agreed at the meeting point.

Duration: approx. 4 h, a lunch break is planned.
How to get there:
Public transport: Lines 77, 78 and 77a to Stein cable car, www.vmobil.at
Car park: at the valley station of the cable cars Sonntag
Equipment required:
o Small rucksack with (warm) drink and small snack
o Warm winter clothing, hat and gloves
o Mountain boots or sturdy winter boots
o Ski or hiking poles and gaiters, if available
o Sunglasses and cream
Equipment hire: snowshoes | poles | avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe if required. Rental equipment must be ordered when registering for the hike!
The hiking guides reserve the right to change or cancel routes due to avalanche danger!
Route: Mountain station chairlift - Oberpartnomalpe - Garmilsattel - Unterpartnomalpe - possibly Klangraum Stein - Vorderes Steinbild - mountain station chairlift Stein
Walking time/altitude difference: approx. 2.5 hours/400 metres in descent/no ascent
Possible route variation: Ascent with the gondola lift - Stein - Rosenkranzkapelle - Echowand - (Wandfluh -Unterpartnom) - Rossbödele - Stein
Walking time/altitude difference: approx. 3 hours/310 metres ascent and descent
Price: EUR 12.00 per person aged 15 and over; participation in the hike is free for guests of BERGaktiv member businesses. Excluding cable car, bus rides and snacks. Total rental equipment EUR 18.00
