Safety measures for your winter vacation

Dear guests,

health is an absolute priority in these challenging times. Just in time for the winter season, the state of Vorarlberg is developing a nationwide strategy for winter tourism - the so-called Winter Code V. This offers our guests a special level of security and, in addition to requirements for accommodation providers, includes comprehensive measures for mountain railways, ski schools, sports shops, public transport, etc.

This nationwide strategy is coordinated uniformly, it goes beyond the legal minimum and is based on the journey of our guests in the destination.

Unfortunately, hotels and restaurants in Austria must remain closed until the end of February. Skiing areas and gondolas are allowed to open for leisure purpose.

We are looking forward to welcoming you again very soon!

Ski Area

  • Mouth and nose protection (MNP) must be worn in all train / lift buildings (entrance, exit, cash desk, etc.), in the waiting areas and on all train / lift rides (T-bar lifts, chairlifts, aerial tramways, single-cable gondolas, etc.).
  • A FFP2 mask is used as a mouth-nose-protection.
  • Mouth and nose protection must be worn in all waiting areas and lifts. In covered waiting areas, closed gondolas or lifts with a bubble (cover), an FFP2 mask is mandatory.
  • Cable cars are legally considered to be public transport in Austria; therefore mouth and nose protection must be worn.
  • The capacaty of closed gondolas will be limited to 50%.
  • The waiting areas are being optimized and an MNS is also mandatory here.
  • All cable car cabins, toilet facilities, cash registers and other similar facilities are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
  • The employees with customer contact at the cable cars and lifts are tested for Covid-19 before starting work for the first time.
  • In addition, employees with guest contact are instructed to wear an MNS.
  • The operators of cable cars and railways must develop and implement a corresponding Covid-19 prevention concept based on a risk analysis.

Ski schools

  • Ski courses can be booked online on the websites of all ski schools.
  • A ski school group can only consist of 6 people.
  • Appropriate measures for more space and a temporal equalization are taken at the assembly points.

Gastronomy & Accommodation

  • Hotels and restaurants remain closed until the end of February.
  • Take-Away in skiing areas is not allowed.
  • The basic rule of a minimum distance of 2 meter applies.
  • Aprés ski is not possible in Austria this winter. Both indoor and outdoor consumption is just allowed when seated.
  • If special hygienic precautions have been taken, buffets may be offered to overnight guests.
  • If possible, reserve the table in advance.
  • Pay the bill preferably by card.
  • Wellness areas may be used if companies organize their distance and hygiene measures.
  • Bar operation at the counter is not permitted. (No consumption in the immediate vicinity of the issuing point.)

Events

  • Right now, events are not allowed (cultural events, sort events, weddings, birthdays, etc.)
  • Also, christmas markets are not allowed.
  • Generally, all planned events will be adapted to current corona-measures.
