Mathyas exchanges his life as a young advertising professional in Montreal to become a shepherd in Provence. However, the harsh reality of the shepherd's world forces him to question his romantic notions of this profession. The visit of Élise, a civil servant who has impulsively quit her job, gives Mathyas' search a new direction. Together, they embark on a journey with a flock of sheep under their sole responsibility. Having grown through encounters and passed trials in the mountains, they create a new life for themselves.
