Verein allerArt: LeinwandLounge'Honeyland'

Hatidze Muratova lives with her sick mother in a village without roads, electricity and running water in a remote mountain region deep in the Balkans. It is the last in a long line of Macedonian wild beekeepers who find small batches of live farm honey to be sold in the nearest town - just four hours away on foot. Hatidze's peaceful existence is transformed by the arrival of a wandering family with their roaring engines, seven wild children and a herd of cattle. Hatidze optimistically fulfills the promise of change with an open heart and offers her affection, her brandy and her proven beekeeping advice. "Beguiling, visually powerful observation cinema and rightly ecology study overwhelmed with prizes." (Viennale) "A visually breathtaking documentary film with a catchy protagonist who practices gentle criticism of capitalism and at the same time appeals to a harmonious humanistic coexistence between humans, animals and nature." (Film service .de) "You can't escape the poetry of the film any more than its touching story and the unmistakable message of dealing respectfully and carefully with the life around you." (
