Lecture with Dr. Hans Gruber

What do borders mean in a globalized world - politically, geographically, mentally and socially? And what are borders? In his lecture, Hans Gruber, Stadbibliothekar von Feldkirch, explores the limits of thinking in philosophy. Among others, positions of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Georg Simmel, Ludwig Wittgenstein and Michel Foucault as well as other important thinkers will be included. Last but not least, various concepts of "border" will be discussed.

Dr. Hans Gruber, born in 1964, comes from Feldkirch. He studied history and archaeology at the University of Salzburg and received his doctorate. After 15 years as head of the library at the Dornbirn University of Applied Sciences, he has been head of the Feldkirch Municipal Library since 2012. In this function he played a leading role in the implementation of the Feldkirch800 project.

The association allerArt promotes the political education of young people. Admission is free for pupils and apprentices.
