Verein allerArt: DiskursDirekt 'Lobbying in der EU'

Lobbying plays a significant role in the European Union (EU). From big companies to unions to environmental organizations, many different actors are trying in many ways to influence EU decisions. But how much influence does this lobbying actually have? And which interests prevail in the end? Answering these questions also makes it possible to draw conclusions about whether the bad reputation that precedes lobbying in Brussels is really justified. Univ. Dr. Andreas Dür is Professor of International Politics at the Department of Political Science and Sociology of the University of Salzburg. Born in Bludenz, he completed his doctorate at the Institute of Political and Social Sciences of the European University Institute in Florence (2004). Before taking up his current position, he taught and conducted research at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research and University College Dublin. Since 2017, he has been leading the research project TRADEPOWER financed by the European Research Council (ERC).
