An exciting excursion with biologist Bernhard Schneller to the little-known but no less fascinating relatives of the honey bee. Over millions of years, complex evolutionary adaptations have developed between plants and bees. A large proportion of useful and wild plants depend on the industrious insects. In the meantime, landscape loss, intensive agriculture and robotic mowers pose a serious threat to many species. That is why flowering "bee buffets" have been created in recent years. Together we will visit these flowering areas and take a closer look at the flower pollinators, their characteristics and threats.
