Wein und Kultur

Bernd Lange presents the wines and answers questions about the "ABC of wine". In the original Walser house, some of which is 400 years old, the Blons hiking guide Maria Ganahl informs about the history of the Walser settlement, the avalanche disaster of 1954 in Blons and the history of the provosty of St. Gerold. You meet at the community centre in Blons and take a minibus to the first wine cellar at 1,100 m altitude. After sensory delights about Grünen and Roten Veltliner, you hike about 45 minutes on a high-level trail over a ravine to the second wine cellar in a Walser original house. The tasting ends in the wine cellar of the Propstei St. Gerold. Despite easy hiking trails, good footwear is advisable. Dinner is available in the monastery cellar of the provostry.
