In their joint cabaret program “Das Restaurant,” the two well-known actors Manuel Rubey and Simon Schwarz appear on stage together for the first time.
What happens when two friends with little technical talent but a lot of enthusiasm want to open a restaurant? Simon has played a chef in a movie at least once, and Manuel likes to drink wine—they think that should be enough expertise.
But instead of a gourmet temple, a real chaos project emerges—and when the restaurant suddenly burns down, the local police officer suspects arson. She uses the opportunity for her own podcast—with prominent suspects.
A bizarre, profound, and entertaining journey begins—back into the past and into the question: Aren't we all a little bit arsonists?
